William Troost (ChemE 6T7) and his wife Kathleen have made a $3-million gift to accelerate pioneering programs and initiatives at U of T’s Institute for Leadership Education in Engineering (ILead) at the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering.
Latest gift from Gerald Heffernan (MMS 4T3) and his wife Geraldine expands post-graduate fellowships and provides space for The Entrepreneurship Hatchery within the new Myhal Centre for Engineering Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
“There’s a lot of initiative that’s often required to operate in a large company, and many of those skills came through my hands-on experience at the Hatchery.”
Chodas is the director for engineering and science at NASA JPL, where she leads 4,000 engineers, scientists and technologists who carry out planetary exploration missions.
