Claire Kennedy (ChemE 8T9) Appointed to Bank of Canada Board of Directors

The Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering congratulates Claire Kennedy (ChemE 8T9) on her appointment to the Board of Directors of the Bank of Canada in December. A partner at Bennett Jones LLP, Kennedy was selected for her expertise in tax and corporate law.

Kennedy previously worked for Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP and as a law clerk to the late Honourable Mr. Justice Charles D. Gonthier of the Supreme Court of Canada. She is a member of the Dean’s Council at Queen’s Law and has been extensively involved at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering as a member of the Dean’s Strategic Development Council and Campaign Cabinet Executive. She is a member and immediate past chair of both the advisory board at the University of Toronto’s Department of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry and the University of Toronto’s Engineering Alumni Association. She was also recently appointed to the University of Toronto’s Governing Council.
