Sarah is a freelance consultant with over 25 years of experience in the quality management field, specializing in operational excellence and business process improvements. She worked as an ISO 9000, QS 9000 and TickIT (software development) auditor for seven years, and has also worked at various business units of Royal Philips, in global capacities relating to business excellence.

Sarah has utilized her engineering background and environmental management knowledge by facilitating, managing and participating in improvement projects of different scales. Results ranged from annual financial contributions of $150 million in a large global initiative to cycle time reduction of 37 per cent in a local small scale project. She has also led numerous workshops for management teams in the balanced scorecard development and annual strategic planning processes. She also conducts training workshops for Business Process Reengineering and Lean Six Sigma.

Sarah holds a BASc in industrial engineering from the University of Toronto and a MASc in environmental management from the University of Hong Kong. She is a certified manager of quality and organizational excellence, as well as a Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society of Quality (ASQ). Currently, Sarah is the regional executive director of the Quality Management Division of ASQ, and sits on the Executive Committee of the Environmental Management Association of Hong Kong (EMAHK). She has served as the chairperson for the Hong Kong Total Quality Forum, and was a member of the Education Committee in the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
