About Featherstone Estate Winery
Featherstone Estate Winery, nestled on the Twenty Mile Bench in Niagara, is an award-winning, eco-friendly winery known for its commitment to sustainable winegrowing. Now owned by Rayla and George Myhal, Featherstone was originally founded by Dave Johnson and Louise Engel, along with a passionate team united by a love for food and wine. The vineyard, first planted in the 1970s, boasts some of Niagara’s oldest Riesling vines (1978) and thriving plantings of Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc from 1986. Producing approximately 9,000 cases annually, Featherstone has been insecticide-free since 1999 and is proudly certified by Sustainable Winegrowing Ontario, reflecting its holistic, vineyard-to-glass commitment to environmental stewardship and distinctive, expressive wines.
