John Goldie Breckenridge dedicated his career to the teaching and study of Chemical Engineering.
His career as an educator consisted of Professor, including Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering from 1960-1970, and Associate Dean of the School of Graduate Studies from 1962-1970. Breckenridge served as a member of the Senate of the University of Toronto until 1968.
His research involved the study of the chemistry of pyridines and similar organics, as well as the production of DDT.
