Nickolas is based in Toronto and is a member of Brookfield’s private equity group. Nickolas has over ten years of investment experience. Nickolas joined Brookfield in 2010. For the past several years, Nickolas has been involved in the management of equity and fixed income investments across a broad range of industries. Prior to joining Brookfield, Nickolas was a Vice President at GMP Investment Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund. Previously, Nickolas was an Associate at Moore Capital Advisors Canada, another hedge fund. At both hedge funds, Nickolas was responsible for developing investment strategies across multiple asset classes. Before joining Moore Capital, Nickolas spent three years as an analyst, and later as an associate, in the mergers and acquisitions group of Scotia Capital Inc. Nickolas holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Industrial Engineering) from the University of Toronto and is a CFA Charterholder.
