Mentorship 101: Become an alumni mentor

AMP header 2025

Every great student journey begins with a guide.

As a U of T Engineering alumni mentor, you have the power to launch a student toward new heights. Think of mentorship as a space mission: mentees the astronauts, and you mission control. By joining the Alumni Mentorship Program (AMP), you’ll help students navigate their academic and career journeys—offering insights, building confidence and making a lasting impact.

Start your mission on September 10 with Mentorship 101, a virtual session that introduces the program, outlines expectations and shares tips for a successful mentorship experience.

🚀 Why join AMP?

  • Give back and expand your own professional galaxy
  • Flexible time commitment that fits your schedule
  • One-on-one or group mentoring—whatever fits your schedule
  • Exclusive events with fellow mentors and mentees

🛰️ How to join the mission:

  1. Register for the virtual Mentorship 101 session on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
    1. Can’t attend live? Register anyway to receive the recording and slides.
  2. Sign up as a 2025–2026 AMP alumni mentor.
  3. Join U of T Engineering CONNECT and become part of the exclusive Alumni Mentorship Program 2025–2026 Group.
    1. Once approved, log in, select GROUPS, and join the AMP group to stay updated on events and resources.
