Ralph Holly Keefler served with distinction both in industry and the military. As a Major-General in the Canadian Armed Forces, he commanded the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division.
In industry Keefler served as the Vice President of Bell Telephone Co., and the Chairman of Northern Electric Co. (now known as Northern Telecom). He was also the President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and held important posts in several public service organizations.
