Over the past five years, there has been a renewed interest in the space industry, sparked by heroic feats of private companies. This has spurred the development of many startups commercializing new services within the sector. Such a space renaissance wouldn’t be possible today without a number of enabling technologies. Alumnus Mina Mitry (EngSci 1T2, UTIAS MASc 1T4), co-founder and CEO of Kepler Communications, will describe the enabling technologies, some of the “NewSpace” companies, and his entrepreneurial journey through the industry.
