Come out and see what our first year students have been up to!
Praxis II is a Year 1 course that allows Engineering Science students to refine and apply their engineering, design, and communication skills. The students are given a single challenge:
Effect a verified and validated improvement in the lived experience of a community with directly accessible representation in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Focusing on the GTA allows students to gain first-hand experience with the issues confronting the City and to engage one-on-one with stakeholders, including City and community representatives.
During the Praxis II Showcase, students in this first year course share their proposed engineering designs for a wide variety of projects in the Toronto area. For a list of this year’s projects, see the event website.
Community stakeholders, interested members of the public, students, faculty and alumni are invited to interact with students as they share posters, prototypes and presentations. No registration is required.
Media inquiries are welcome, please see the event website for contact details.
