Eleven engineering alumni were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Skule™ community
Alumnus Arthur Brown (EngSci 1T6) and student Jeremy Wang (Year 4 EngSci) are among 20 people in their 20s named to a prestigious aerospace industry list of future engineering leaders.
U of T Engineering Professor Tom Chau (IBBME) and his research team, including alumni Eric Wan (CompE 1T0, ECE MASc 1T3) and Pierre Duez (EngSci 0T0, MASc IndE 0T3), have been recognized with one of Canada’s highest honours.
Julie Payette (ECE MASc 9T0) will succeed David Johnston as the next Governor General of Canada. The U of T Engineering alumna has been to space twice, and is also an accomplished athlete, singer and pianist.
Alumna Claire Kennedy (ChemE 8T9) served for five years as a Lieutenant-Governor-in-Council appointed member of U of T’s Governing Council. She begins her term as chair in July 2017.
